Introduction
EI transformer is a kind of electronic transformer, which is defined according to the shape of the iron core, because the iron core of EI transformer is composed of "E"type sheet and"I" type sheet, so it is called EI transformer.
EI transformers are generally power frequency (low frequency) transformers (50HZ or 60HZ), power transformers, and some audio transformers are also EI, such as those used in audio according to KRECO 's standard and design.
Classification
Classified by installation method
Divided into pin type, lead riding clip type, the pin type is directly welded on the circuit board, the lead type is external with lead, most of the outside is an iron shell, and the iron shell has a mounting hole, can be screwed.
Classification according to core size
EI transformers are classified according to their size, and generally large categories are classified according to the length of silicon steel sheets. For example, commonly used EI-19, EI-28, EI-35, EI-41, EI-48, EI-57, EI-66, and EI-76.2, as well as EI-86 and EI-96.28, 35 and 41 refer to the length of the silicon steel sheet.
Detailed classification should also consider the total stack thickness of silicon steel sheets. Some transformers are marked with EI-48 x 20, which means that the total stack thickness of silicon steel sheets is 20mm. Therefore, this transformer is EI-48, and the subdivision is EI-48 x20.
In some places, it is classified according to the width of the silicon steel sheet. The width refers to the protruding part in the middle of the E sheet, as shown in Figure A. Some say EI-16 x 20, where 16 refers to the transformer with a width of 16.
According to the table, the width of EI-48 transformer is 16, so the EI-16 x 20 transformer is the EI-48 x 20 transformer.
